Kabocha Squash CBD Smoothie

I first tried Kabocha squash around 4-5 years ago, and it’s been my favourite autumn food ever since. It’s sweeter and creamier than any other squash. It’s hard for me to eat other squash types just because of how much I love Kabocha.

This was my first time adding it to a smoothie and the result was amazing! I added CBD oil to this smoothie because I try to take 10 drops a day for general health and I know it’s also good for my thyroid (I have Grave’s disease).

You can take CBD oil on its own under your tongue, but lately I’ve been adding it to smoothies and other meals. CBD oil combined with food could improve oral bioavailability and your body might be able to absorb more of it.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of cooked, mashed Kabocha squash (chilled -can be substituted with sweet potato)

  • 1 cup of frozen chopped ripe bananas

  • 1/2 cup of rice milk (can be substituted with any other non-dairy milk)

  • 1 cup of filtered water

  • 10 drops of CBD oil (optional)

  • 5 small pitted dates

Method:

  1. Add all of the ingredients to the blender.

  2. Blend until smooth and creamy.

  3. Enjoy :)
